As many businesses are closing their doors while the COVID-19 pandemic sweeps the globe, it’s important – now more than ever – to make sure you’re keeping an online presence for your business.

While you may not be able to take bookings until the future is more certain, there are many other ways you can be helping your business through this tough time and keep your brand at the forefront of people’s minds.

We’ve listed some tips to keep you busy during lockdown and more importantly – visible!

Collect Data

Taking time to figure out what your audience wants to see is important for your online presence. Why not spend this time finding out what your followers enjoy seeing from you? Try encouraging your followers to take part in polls! With more people at home, you’ll see a huge increase in online traffic. Advertise your mailing list and increase your database. When you get your business operating as normal, you’ll have a bigger audience for your email marketing.

Engage with your audience

As we previously mentioned, online traffic is going to increase massively during this period of isolation. Make the most of this time at home to talk to your clients. Upping your online engagement is a great way to increase your presence and awareness of your business. You may see a huge spike in Instagram videos and Lives; keeping your followers aware of what’s going on with your business may help them establish a connection with you and your brand.

Stockpile your content

With most businesses on “pause” at the moment, now is the perfect time to work on your marketing strategy. Not many of us have the spare time to create a year’s worth of content, so why not start now? Get ahead with your content stockpiling – film some videos of you talking about your products and services, or get your content writing planned in advance for a head start!
